FORMERLY KNOWN AS (Sonnet Stockmar, Faith Perrenoud, Jack Skinner, John-Paul Vetter, James C. Stewart): Formerly Known As are 5 Seattle improvisers inspired by their mutual love of storytelling and play. Each member brings their own unique style to the group, forming one cohesive dream team (exactly like the Spice Girls). They gravitate towards a narrative style, but love experimentation (and trying to make each other laugh). Together, they co-produce Improv Live!, a monthly show that gives a platform to local Seattle artists. Follow them on Instagram: @FKAimprov

FAITH PERRENOUD Growing up in Michigan, Faith is no stranger to “making it work” when things are unpredictable! From sliding down 696 without anti-lock brakes in her ’91 Chevy, to getting a visa to China during a full mental breakdown, Faith always pretends to have a plan. Faith is thrilled to have a slightly lower stakes outlet for her improvisation skills by performing with her dear, talented friends in FKA.

SONNET STOCKMAR is a performer, writer and lifelong learner who grew up acting around her hometown of Garland, TX – the city that inspired King of the Hill. Except for that one year she lived in Ireland purely for the craic, she’s called Seattle home since 2012. Passionate about storytelling, collaboration, and community, Sonnet pursues projects that intersect with those values. When not creating or performing, you can find her crying over homework as she prepares to transfer to the University of Washington in pursuit of a double major in English & Drama (can you put in a good word?).

JACK SKINNER first found improv in high school and has loved it ever since! He performed in UW’s college improv troupe “The Collective” and has since taken classes at Unexpected Productions where he met all of his lovely friends in FKA. He is a current ensemble member at Jet City Improv and you can see him performing in various shows across Seattle. He hopes you enjoy the wacky narratives that FKA creates!

JOHN-PAUL VETTER is a Seattle-based improviser and member of FKA. Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, John-Paul grew up around the incredible improv scene of the Midwest. Inspired by this, John-Paul pursued comedy after moving to Seattle. He studied at Unexpected Productions and is a current ensemble member with CSz Seattle. He performs regularly in Improv Live!, a monthly Improv show hosted and co-produced by the members of FKA.

JAMES C. STEWART relocated to the States from New Zealand thanks to the Green Card lottery and is now a dual US and NZ citizen. Yes, he was in The Lord of the Rings (as an orc in ROTK) and yes, he has worked with those Flight of the Conchords guys. He spent 8 years living in NYC, before relocating to Seattle to start a new chapter. There, thanks to Mighty Tripod, he got back into film and thanks to Unexpected Productions he got back into improv. Performance highlights include: Every show with his buddies in FKA, the immersive show “Ambrosia Inc” (Herman), the award-winning short film “I’m Okay…”, Macbeth (Macbeth) and other productions with Redd Tale Theatre Company in NYC Off-Off Broadway. His head has also been seen around the world, enclosed in a bubble for the Something Real photo series by Romain Laurent. Huge thanks to his partners Will and Grant for all their support! www.James-C-Stewart.com
