WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Improvisers are great at thinking on their feet, team work, and supporting their partners with a good dose of “Yes, And.” Yet, translating those skills from the stage into organizational environments requires a new way of thinking.

This workshop explores moving from performing and teaching improv to facilitating professional growth and organizational strategy through improv. Participants will learn to frame exercises in business language, develop sessions around outcomes, and lead activities that build communication, collaboration, and psychological safety in professional settings.
• Define distinctions between theatrical improv and applied improv.
• Explain how common improv exercises translate into workplace skills.
• Identify appropriate language for introducing improv exercises in organizational environments.
• Apply a structured framework to develop a short applied improv session.
• Demonstrate effective facilitation techniques that focus on psychological safety and participant learning.
