WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Shakespeare’s plays have been read and performed for over 400 years! He must have done something right, right? In this workshop, we will use the themes, relationships, language, and literary devices found within his immortal works to not only become better adept at Shakespearean improv, but level up as improvisers in general as well! You don’t need an English degree to enjoy this workshop! Just come ready to play!

More About The Instructor:

Originally from Kansas City, MO, Andy has lived in Portland since 2021 where he performs regularly with Love, Shakespeare which improvises a brand new Shakespearean play every show. Previously he has weaseled his way into numerous scripted Shakespeare productions including Romeo & Juliet, The Merchant of Venice, King Lear, As You Like It, Hamlet, The Winter’s Tale and he has worked regionally at Portland Center Stage in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night. As an improviser, he has performed and taught at many festivals across the country in Detroit, San Diego, Houston, Baltimore, Chicago, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Spokane, and Tampa Bay.
